It’s good to see that Il Falcone Maltese is still in print and going strong. Claiming to be the first monthly Italian magazine dedicated to giallo & noir (a nice combination of colour and language there), Il Falcone Maltese was launched last year by a team including sci-fi and crime author Massimo Mongai.
Il Falcone Maltese has reviews, interviews and features covering a range of subjects from detective fiction and real-life spies to Hong Kong gangster movies. It’s a stylish magazine, too, its theme reflected in the monochrome layout.
If you’re interested in crime fiction or just want to read something a bit different, try tracking down a copy of Il Falcone Maltese at your local Italian newsstand.
On the subject of international crime fiction, I came across some interesting blogs while I was doing the Massimo Mongai interview. Detectives Beyond Borders, It’s a Crime and Euro Crime all talk about crime stories from around the world.
